Volunteer at These Animal Rescues in Mobile

Whether work or exams have you down, spending some time volunteering with animals will cheer you up. There's no better way to relax than spending the day petting and caring for some puppies or cats. Thankfully, our apartments near the University of South Alabama are minutes from several animal rescues that welcome volunteers. When you volunteer with animals, you'll feel better, and you'll be helping out some furry friends in need. Here are a few animal rescue spots in town:

Mobile SPCA

There are many volunteer opportunities at the Mobile SPCA. For example, you could work at an adoption clinic, and you could help walk the dogs and clean their cages. You could also participate in the nursing home program hosted by the Mobile SPCA, in which volunteers bring dogs to visit residents in local nursing homes.

Animal Rescue Mobile

People of all ages are welcome to volunteer at Animal Rescue Mobile. There are dog walking and kennel attendant opportunities or you could help the shelter with administrative duties. Although it's always more fun to spend time with the dogs themselves, you could always volunteer in other departments to help the shelter.

Mobile County Animal Shelter

For people who are looking to help a dog in need, volunteering at the Mobile County Animal Shelter is right for you. Between dog walking programs, dog bathing programs, and socialization programs, you can lend a helping hand and see some cute animals.

After you volunteer with animals at these shelters in Mobile, try some of Mobile's delicious pizza restaurants. If you're ready to live in University of South Alabama housing, then contact us. The leasing agents at Traditions at South are ready to help you find your new home.
